True StoryThe Easter Eggs Hidden in ‘Clint Eastwood’

‘Clint Eastwood’ was the debut and breakthrough single of the Brittish virtual band Gorillaz. Did you know that the legendary animated music video contains a lot of hidden easter eggs?

The Good, The Bad and The Ugly

It’s pretty obvious that the song is about American actor/director Clint Eastwood. Clint Eastwood is most known from the movie classic The Good, The Bad and The Ugly. In the beginning of the music video you can hear the same scream that’s used in the movie’s soundtrack.

Maybe the music video reminds you of another famous song? The video of ‘Clint Eastwood’ is inspired by the fantastic ‘Thriller’ video from Michael Jackson! Zombies resurrecting from their graves in a graveyard and starting to dance, it definitely reminded us of the choreography used in ‘Thriller’!

Resident Evil

Gorillaz bandmember Stuart Pot, also known as 2D, is wearing a T-virus shirt in the video. This is a reference to the horror movie Resident Evil.
