In 1987, legendary horror director John Carpenter was making ‘Prince Of Darkness’, which is the second instalment of his acclaimed ‘Apocalypse trilogy’. One of the films producers was also Alice Cooper’s manager and got Cooper to record a song for the film. Carpenter and Cooper had actually met some time before, at Wrestlemania of all places. Cooper, who is a major horror fan, asked ‘The Thing’ director whether he could make a cameo appearance in one of his films, to which Carpenter agreed, but only if he could use the ‘impaling gag’ Cooper used at his live shows!
