#10. Inner Circle – Bad Boys (Cops)

‘Cops’ is an American reality TV series that follows police officers and federal agents during their work. There was only one song that could work as opening theme: ‘Bad Boys’ by Inner Circle. Just listen to the song and you’ll know what the show is about.

#9. Jason Paige – Pokémon theme song (Pokémon)

Zeroes Heroes! Remember the time when everyone around you followed the story of Ash Ketchum and Pikachu? Than you’ll probably remember the epic theme song as well. ‘I wanna be the very best…’.

#8. P!nk – Today’s The Day (The Ellen DeGeneres Show)

Since 2015, you can hear the American singer P!nk almost every day on American TV. She wrote the latest theme song for The Ellen DeGeneres Show. ‘Today’s The Day’ is an uplifting track that perfectly fits with the optimistic talkshow. P!nk performed live on the show, check it below and enjoy!

#7. Alabama 3 – Woke Up This Morning (The Sopranos)

Alabama 3 is not, as you might think, from the state Alabama. They’re an English band from London. The group achieved big success with the track ‘Woke Up This Morning’, which is used in the opening credits of the TV Series The Sopranos.

#6. Jimi Jamison- I’m Always Here (Baywatch)

Let’s go to the beach! To the American beach to be precise. Let’s go to Pamela’s red swimsuit and David his swimming trunks. ‘I’m Always Here’ was written and performed by Jimi Jamison, specifically for Baywatch. Nice song, good feelings.

#5. Zooey Deschanel – Hey Girl (New Girl)

Creating a catchier opening theme than ‘Hey Girl!’ from New Girl is almost impossible. Lead actress Zooey Deschanel sings the theme herself and she did a pretty good job at it. Jess automatically puts a smile on your face with the catchy phrases. It’s no surprise that Zooey has a little singing career as well.

#4. The Solids – Hey Beautiful (How I Met Your Mother)

Why not create a theme song for a TV Series ánd create the TV Series itself as well? No problem for The Solids. The Solids are an American band, formed by band members Bays and Thomas. After writing some music, Bays and Thomas expand their job responsibilities and in 2005 they created the TV series How I Met Your Mother. Kind of logical that they wrote the theme song themselves! ‘Hey Beautiful’ is a classic!

#3. The Barenaked Ladies – The Big Bang Theory Song (The Big Bang Theory)

Before the start of The Big Bang Theory, one of the producers saw a show by The Barenaked Ladies in Los Angeles. At the show lead singer Ed Robertson improvised a free style rap about the origins of the universe. Shortly after the show, the creators of the show asked the band to write the theme song. That resulted in ‘The Big Bang Theory Song’.

#2. The Who – Won’t Get Fooled Again (CSI: Miami)

The creator of the CSI series is probably a big fan of British band The Who. The opening themes of all four series, CSI, Miami, New York and Cyber, are remixes of The Who songs. Remember the scream at the beginning of CSI: Miami? It’s from ‘Won’t Get Fooled Again’.

#1. The Rembrandts – I’ll Be There For You (Friends)

The number 1 in this list can only be this song. Friends was, and is, one of the most popular TV series all time. At least it’s one of the most timeless shows, you can still watch the show nowadays. ‘I’ll Be There For You’ was written by The Rembrandts especially for the show, so the lyrics and melody perfectly fit with the entertaining series. Because of the appearance in Friends, this song became a hit. Enjoy the music video, in which you can see Phoebe, Chandler, Joey, Ross, Monica and Rachel dancing and singing. Good old times!
