Five studio albums, 32 million sold albums, 56 million sold singles, 10 Grammy Awards: Justin Timberlake is one of the biggest stars of this century. He’s currently touring the world with the spectacular ‘Man of the Woods’ tour. Here’s a playlist to ‘Let The Groove Get In’.
#10. Shake Your Body @ BBC’s Live Lounge, 2013
During Justin Timberlake’s BBC Live Lounge session, he covered ‘Shake Your Body’ from The Jacksons. Timberlake was a big fan of Michael Jackson, and he had the honor to perform multiple times with the King of Pop. In 2014, Timberlake joined Michael Jackson posthumously on their single ‘Love Never Felt So Good’.
#9. Cry Me A River @ London, 2003
‘Cry Me A River’ is a song about a heartbroken man who’s trying to move on from his ex-girlfriend who’d cheated on him. The song is inspired by his break up with fellow pop star Britney Spears.
#8. Suit and Tie @ Saturday Night Live, 2013
In 2007, Timberlake took a six year break from music to focus on his acting career. In 2013, JT made a comeback with the hit single ‘Suit and Tie’ featuring Jay-Z.
#7. Let The Groove Get In @ IHeartRadio, Las Vegas, 2013
Justin Timberlake is joined on stage by his phenomenal band ‘The Tennessee Kids’, but where does that name come from? Well, it started off as a joke when JT was recording the song ‘That Girl’. “I put it as a liner note on one of the songs I sang on The 20/20 Experience. When it came time to tour, I was like, ‘You guys should be the Tennessee Kids.’” (Bustle)
#6. My Love @ iTunes Festival, 2013
Timberlake collaborated with Timbaland and rapper T.I. on this track. JT originally asked Jay-Z to rap T.I.’s part, but he turned the offer down. The American rapper had just finished recording another duet with his wife Beyoncé (‘Déjà vu’) and wanted to focus on that song.
#5. Say Something @ Tonight’s Show With Jimmy Fallon, 2018
Singer-song writer Chris Stapleton was writing songs for Timberlake’s fifth studio album ‘Man of the Woods’, when he was asked to sing on the song ‘Say Something’. It’s one of the most surprising songs on ‘Man of the Woods’.
#4. Lovestoned/I Think She Knows @ Madison Square Garden, New York, 2007
In 2007, Justin Timberlake travelled around the world with the mind-blowing FutureSex/LoveShow tour.
#3. Señorita @ Ellen Degeneres Show, 2003
‘Señorita’ is one of his biggest hits. But like several other songs on JT’s debut album Justified, ‘Señorita’ was actually written for Michael Jackson. Production duo ‘The Neptunes’ (Pharrell Williams and Chad Hugo) offered the King of Pop a pack of songs, but Jackson’s manager said that the songs were not good enough.
#2. Pusher Love Girl @ Grammy Awards, 2013
To promote his upcoming and long-awaited third studio album The 20/20 Experience, Timberlake performed at the Grammy Awards ceremony.
#1. What Goes Around… Comes Around @ Paris, 2006
“Can’t believe it’s ending this way”. ‘What Goes Around… Comes Around’ is arguably one of his best songs.
