We still have to wait until June 22 before Panic! At The Disco’s new album Pray For The Weekend comes out, but that doesn’t mean we can’t enjoy songs from the band and Brendon Urie’s incredibly amazing voice in the meantime! Here is a top 10 of live performances (even though we must say that a top 10 is not enough to show how unbelievably good P!ATD is)
#10. Big Shot @ Billy Joel Tribute, 2013
Urie played this song at the annual “Kennedy Center Honors”, where honour is given to those in the performing arts for their lifetime contributions to American culture. In 2013, it was time to honour the “piano man”. Urie adds runs and growls to the performance, while he kills it.
#9. The Green Gentleman @ Take 40 Live Lounge, 2011
During this performance, Panic! At The Disco gives the song a nice touch while playing it acoustic this time.
#8. Dream On @ Miss Universe, 2013
Even though Urie is perfectly capable of writing songs himself, during Miss Universe in 2013, he takes on the challenge of covering Aerosmith’s classic song ‘Dream On’. While he sings the song, he is surrounded by all the participants of the competition.
#7. Nine In The Afternoon @ X103.9 , 2011
The band only had two members left during this performance, but it shows that even while being a duo, they can still create an amazing version of a song.
#6. Death Of A Bachelor @ Conan, 2016
You’ll be swept off your feet by the dreamy tunes of his voice. We loved this song on the album, but Urie’s voice sounds even dreamier while playing it live.
#5. Do You Know What I’m Seeing? @ X103.9, 2011
There was a time that Panic! At The Disco still consisted of all the original band members. Right now, Urie is the only one left, so we’re getting a bit nostalgic while listening to this song. Fun fact: it also still remains one of Urie’s favourite songs.
#4. Don’t Stop Believin @ Spin, 2009
This is almost 10 years ago, but it doesn’t mean that it can’t be good. He plays a Journey cover. Even then he knew how to blow us away completely on his own.
#3. Victorious @ The Ellen Degeneres Show, 2016
This performance is a party from start to finish. Urie dives into the crowd and makes an absolute party out of it. Even while running and jumping, he’s able to maintain a steady voice.
#2. I Write Sins Not Tragedies @ X103.9, 2011
We can’t talk about Panic! At The Disco and just forget about this song, because this is the reason why the band gained their fame in the first place. This is an amazing acoustic set, but the original video for this hit is fantastic, so you should definitely check it out as well!
#1. Bohemian Rhapsody @ Death Of A Bachelor Tour, 2017
Really, what can we say about this performance? One of the best songs ever made, covered by one of the most qualified people to do so. Brendon Urie’s vocal range is absolutely amazing, and he kills this cover of Queen. Freddie Mercury would be proud.
