The band have decided to remove the song “One In A Million” from the reissue of their album Appetite for Destruction. The song contains lyrics such as “Immigrants and faggots, they make no sense to me.”

“One In A Million” is the eighth track of the album G N’ R Lies, which was released in 1988. Axl Rose wrote these lyrics when he experienced getting hustled in the Greyhound bus station upon arriving in Los Angeles for the first time. Another line from the song is: “Police and niggers, that’s right / Get outta my way / Don’t need to buy none of your gold chains today”, which can definitely be seen as racist. The band hasn’t commented on why they decided to remove the song, but when taking a look at the lyrics, you can imagine why they were probably obliged to do so.

You can still listen to their controversial song down below.
