On May 16th, Marvel released the highly anticipated movie Deadpool 2. And Deadpool wouldn’t be Deadpool without a few surprises, even on its soundtrack! Enjoy 10 songs from the Deadpool 2 soundtrack!

#10. Pat Benatar – We Belong

Deadpool (Ryan Reynolds), also known as Wade Wilson, is a disfigured, big mouthed mercenary, with a superhuman healing factor. In Deadpool 2, he brings together a team of fellow mutant antiheroes to protect a young boy of supernatural abilities from the brutal, time-traveling mutant, Cable.

#9. Air Supply – All Out Of Love

The soundtrack from Deadpool 2 is packed with heartfelt power ballads, like ‘All Out Of Love’. The song was also used for the trailer of Deadpool 2.

#8. Peter Gabriel – In Your Eyes

And yet another power ballad! It almost sounds like a sappy rom com movie! But fret not, the original score of Deadpool 2 is the first soundtrack that earned a parental advisory – explicit content warning label! The original score features beautiful songs like ‘Holy **** Balls’ and ‘Make The Whole World Our B****’.

#7. Alicia Morton – Tomorrow

Tomorrow, tomorrow, I’ll love you, tomorrow” We all know this song from another movie, Annie!

#6. Cher – If I Could Turn Back Time

‘If I Could Turn Back Time’ was Cher’s comeback single back in the 80s. And although it became one of her biggest hits, she initially disliked the song. Songwriter Diane Warren revealed: “She really hated it, but I held her leg down during a session and said, ‘You have to record it!'” Cher reportedly responded: “Fuck you, bitch! You’re hurting my leg! OK, I’ll try it.’ She gave me this look like, ‘You were right’.” (Billboard)

#5. Skrillex – Bangarang (ft. Shirah)

In 2012, ‘Bangarang’ was a smashing hit around the world. It’s still the most successful single of the American electronic music producer Skrillex.

#4. DJ Shadow – Nobody Speak (ft. Run The Jewels)

This music video might be one of the best videos of 2016. Politicians start with a rap battle, but the meeting ends in a massive brawl. Is this what meetings with Trump are like?

#3. A-ha – Take On Me (MTV Unplugged)

‘Take On Me’ is A-ha’s biggest hit of all time. Here’s a live version of the 1984 power ballad, recorded at their MTV Unplugged session in 2017.

#2. Dolly Parton – 9 to 5

Dolly Parton wrote ‘9-5’ for a 1980 comedy movie with the same name. The song became one of Parton’s best known songs, and even landed her the Grammy Award for ‘Best Country Song’.

#1. Céline Dion – Ashes

Céline Dion wrote the theme song for Deadpool 2. ‘Ashes’ is a typical Dion power ballad. While the team-up might seem like an odd choice, it totally fits. One thing is for sure: Ryan Reynolds would be a fantastic ballet dancer.
