We at We Speak Music are huge Arctic Monkeys fans as you may know. We celebrated the band’s new album with a release party earlier this month in Amsterdam and Sheffield. Luckily it’s not only a new album, but now the day has finally arrived that they are actually playing gigs again!

Yesterday (May 22) marked the first day of their European tour. The tour kicked off in Columbiahalle in Berlin, the capital of Germany. It was also the first time since the release of Tranquility Base Hotel & Casino that the band performed a full live set.

Setlist

Alex Turner & co played a total of twenty songs. They opened their show with a song from their new album called ‘Four Out Of Five’. Watch footage from the performance below.

The AM album dominated most of the evening, yet old hits such as ‘Brianstorm’, ‘Cornerstone’, and ‘I Bet You Look Good On The Dancefloor’ couldn’t be left out of course. Find out the full setlist below.

Last month, ‘When The Sun Goes Down’ was voted as best Arctic Monkeys track by both Amsterdam and Sheffield fans during our release parties in both cities. Unfortunately the song wasn’t played, just as almost all of the debut album. With that, it is clear Arctic Monkeys are not a band that’s looking back a lot, but is really focusing on what’s yet to come.

YouTube is already stacked with clips of the band playing their banger hits, and you can listen to a few of them down below!

Berlin is just the beginning of their European tour. They will also play their new music in Rome, Paris, Barcelona, Milan, London, the Netherlands and the United States. If you’re not able to enjoy one of these shows, you can still buy and listen to their new album Tranquility Base Hotel & Casino, or dance to their other five ones!
